USER GUIDE
a). This site is designed for users with a broadband internet connection. If you have a dial-up connection, upload times will be very long. Consequently, you may prefer to order a pre-paid pack or download an order form and post a CD to us. Please click here to go to (or return to) The Rather Nice Company website where both options are available.
b). Pictures to upload must be in jpeg (.jpg) format. Sorry, the site won't accept tiff (.tif) or bitmap (.bmp) etc. files. Mac users - please ensure that the .jpg file extension is present before uploading.
c). VERY IMPORTANT! For best results please upload pictures at the highest resolution you have. Ideally this should be 300dpi or 200kb minimum, although this is not a hard-and-fast rule and we've seen excellent pictures less than this. Just as a reminder, a message will appear if you upload a picture of less than 200kb. You can re-select or ignore the message, but please make sure you are happy with your pictures - what is acceptable to you is a personal thing; consequently we print what you upload and don't make judgements on quality.
d). There is a maximum permitted picture size of 4mb as beyond this size no improvement in print quality is possible and upload times become excessive.
e). Pictures can be landscape, portrait or square, black-and-white or colour.
f). Before uploading, please check that each picture is in the correct orientation (i.e. the top is at the top). If you make a mistake, you can change any picture by overwriting it, up to the the point at which you confirm the product. At that point the pictures written to a folder that cannot be altered. Use the Preview button to check that all is well.
g). If your pictures require colour correction, cropping, editing or captions, please do this before uploading as they cannot be edited afterwards.
h). Once you have uploaded pictures for a product, you can order as many identical copies as you wish without the need to upload your pictures again. However, if you want to use the pictures for a different product, you will need to re-send them.
i). We can only accept pictures which are your copyright, or for which you have obtained the permission of the copyright owner.
